OnGuard Cloud, LenelS2

LenelS2 has moved its OnGuard access management platform to a cloud-delivered model, changing how multi-site operators licence, update and scale credentials across a portfolio.

For sites already running OnGuard on premise, the practical question is not whether the cloud version is better but what the migration path costs. Panel firmware, reader hardware and any custom integrations all need checking before a date is set.

Where it clearly helps is multi-country operations. Central credential management across sites in different jurisdictions has always been the awkward part of a distributed access system, and a hosted directory removes most of that friction.

If you are planning an access control refresh in the next eighteen months, it is worth modelling both options rather than defaulting to a like-for-like replacement.
